Assos’ primary aim with the TRAIL TACTICA Liner Bib Shorts HP T3 has been to engineer a liner short that’s incredibly light, impressively breathable and yet retains off-road-ready durability and protection. 

Superlight Performance

Borrowed from their superlight SUPERLÉGERE Bib Shorts, the fast-drying crochet elastic bib straps offer incredible comfort with minimal bulk.

At the waist, the zeroPressure construction does what it says, offering a soft and flexible fit that keeps the shorts in place without undue pressure. A high degree of breathability keeps you feeling fresh during high-intensity XC and gravel racing. 

More Storage. More Protection. 

When you’ve got a long ride planned, the three back pockets offer useful storage space for essentials – particularly useful if you prefer a loose-fitting outer tee/jersey. pocket tabs make it easier to access the contents below a jersey too. 

If you find yourself sliding out on loose trails and gravel, the large ImpactorTec T3 hip pad lessens the chance of painful gravel rash. With a jersey-soft inner face and increased cooling, there’s no compromise to comfort either. 

Off-Road HP T3 Seat Pad

Using  9mm thick shock-absorbing foam layers, the Off-Road HP T3 Seat Pad is made specifically for the more upright riding position associated with gravel and mountain bikes and soaks up trail chatter. Thermoformed shapes also reduce ridges and irritation when pedalling while allowing freedom of movement, ideal when tackling sinewy singletrack.

The T3 also sees familiar Assos pad features deployed to deliver airy comfort. The goldenGate 2.0 lets the pad move with your body rather than in opposition to it. 3D Waffle, a 3-layer perforated foam, reduces weight while optimising breathability. And kratercooler technology sees perforation across the leading edge, drawing air across the pad and keeping you cooler and drier.
